Youth Festival 2024

Hello everyone! Today, I want to share my experience of attending the youth festival as an audience member. Although I didn’t participate in any events, I learned a lot from my friends who took part, from our professors, and from people from other colleges. It was a great opportunity to see different talents and feel the energy of the festival. I enjoyed watching the performances and listening to the experiences of those who were involved, and overall, it was a memorable experience!

Kala Yatra Experience - October 16, 2024

The youth festival began with the Kala Yatra on October 16, and we started preparing for it on the 12th. In this kickoff event, colleges presented social themes through group performances. Our team chose to highlight issues in today’s education system, focusing on the negative effects of social media, TikTok, reels, and the increase in drug use among teens, all impacting education quality.

The procession started at Shamaldas Arts College and ended at Swaminarayan Gurukul College, with many teams presenting powerful social messages. Key themes included women’s safety, rising rape cases, the influence of social media, Gujarat’s cultural heritage, and the importance of the Bhagavad Gita. One impactful presentation addressed women’s suffering, with performers dressed in black to symbolize evil and accompanied by the song "O re Chiraiya."

Our team used both handwritten and printed posters to bring attention to our theme, and we finished the Yatra by 7:15 pm, feeling proud to have raised awareness on such an important issue.
